As the powerful play goes on, I may contribute a verse.
Hi, it’s Shen.
I went to Pratt Institute, an art school in Brooklyn for my undergraduate study at Industrial design and a minor in Philosophy. Through years of study and living, I gradually find my passion and love in Philosophy and Photography. (That’s basically what university does to me)
I turned to philosophy because I faced many questions that were little discussed at an art school. Instead of designing a product that is aesthetically pleasing (mostly on professor's taste), I really want to know what exactly is this beauty. Instead of creating an artwork that “represents/expresses a multidimensional of the ego”, I am more interested in the effectiveness and legitimacy of this exploration. (Also, what exactly is the ego?)
Thus, my main area of interest are epistemology and aesthetics, mostly when those two fields overlap. Recently, I grow more understanding towards the political science, mainly through Hegel’s philosophy of right.
