Apus Diary is one of my first projects that explores the boundary and format of photography. After designing a photo book which took reference and inspiration from symphony, I approach this project in a more loose and casual style. It is like a visual diary that includes screenshot, appropriated images, self-portrait, street scene, text message and so on. The whole documentation starts while I am forced to move out of the school dorm during the peak of Covid back in 2020. At that time, I was in such distress and anxiety that this diary seems to be my only way out. People use to say that Apus is the bird never lands, the moment it lands is the moment it dies. I never know why did I start documenting my life. However, the moment I figure it out is the moment when the end of this diary comes.
